Timeless Timelines with Glen Mahoney BSc MSc NPQH
Glen has 40 years experience of genealogical research in Great Britain, especially in England and Wales. During such time he has been extensively involved in family history leadership, consultancy and teaching. He has also served as a Latter Day Saint bishop in historic Merthyr Tydfil. Glen has assisted numerous people in the research of their family trees, and has researched a number of ancestral lines back to the 16th century, with a high degree of reliability.
Glen lives in Wales and not only has access to on-line genealogical sources but also a vast array of other historical sources held in British archives and libraries
As a former teacher of Physics and High School Assistant Principal, he is deeply analytical and has excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Glen’s research is of the highest quality. His approach is meticulous and rigorous and he pursues original documents where possible. He always scrutinises the reliability of evidence and attempts to utilise a wide range of complementary historical sources to more firmly secure family and pedigree links. He consequently works to the Genealogical Proof Standard and beyond, and also adheres strictly to the Genealogical Code of Practice.
